Truly I can’t show my desk – buried under the piles of cards, letters, notes, including ones to send here – so look, I’m tackling another jigsaw, bought by a friend from a charity shop (we’ll see if all the pieces are there – eventually!). It’s very festive ‘Toyshop at Christmas’, and is a sort of break from all the writing cards and addressing envelopes… Sifting out the straight edges – now I know to turn the pieces over as the plain back is a clearer contrast to the table. It’s a different type of challenge and works other parts of my brain. Overseen by my beautiful hellebore – a favourite flower to which I treated myself last week while visiting a favourite local(ish) town. THE Christmas flower, I think 🙂 Not a great photo, as it’s a grey day so the very bright overhead light is on. Sharing the love with other deskers here.
PS I am now taking a blogging break until the New Year, but I will visit as many desks as possible this week. Wishing you all a wonderful festive season with friends and family, and I will see you in 2019 ❤ ❤ ❤
Your hellebore is gorgeous! Good luck with your jigsaw; and finishing your cards.. (still need to start writing mine!) Happy Christmas to you, too. Helen #3

Morning Claire. Have spent ages following all the links in your lovely post this morning. Well done – you must go to bed absolutely exhausted each night after challenging your brain in so many different ways. That is incredibly brave! Your jigsaw is lovely – and not an easy one – but it doesn’t matter how long it takes to complete, you’ll get there by your spirit of perseverance. That hellebore is great – I have several in my garden, and recently bought a lovely yellowy-white one – just need the rain to stop at some point, so I can plant it out!! Didn’t realise you lived near(ish) the town in your link. Might see you there some time.
Take care. Have a special Christmas celebrating the birth of our Saviour. God bless.

Wishing you a blessed Christmas & a very Happy New Year if I do not get chance to wish it all to you before they both arrive and have fun with the jigsaw, such a chilled out activity to take your mind off all that unfinished Christmas business.

I had one in the ground years ago but I managed to kill it! They are exquisite. Have a happy holiday and I’ll see you in the new year!
